The leaked fitness tracker sits between the Pixel Watch and the $99.99 Fitbit Air in Google’s wearable lineup.
Images posted by Android Headlines show Google’s rumored Fitbit Edge, a midrange fitness tracker that appears to succeed the Charge line. The device carries a small screen capable of showing widgets, a design that splits the difference between the Pixel Watch and the minimalist Fitbit Air.
The Fitbit Charge line last received an update in 2023, leaving a gap in Google’s midrange wearable lineup. The Fitbit Air costs $99.99, the Pixel Watch starts at $399.99, and the Charge 6 sells for $159.95, placing the Edge in the middle of that range.
A midrange tracker with built-in GPS, an altimeter, and a seven-day battery gives operators a cheaper device for field data collection than a full smartwatch. Limited app support for Google Maps and YouTube Music keeps the Edge focused on fitness rather than general-purpose computing.
Google has not disclosed a price or release date for the Fitbit Edge. A launch in the $150 to $200 range would slot the device between the Air and the Pixel Watch, so watch for official pricing and availability.
